A Twiga camper unit on a former French military vehicle, a Mercedes Unimog U2450L/38. The camper unit has a length of 4.5 metres. This camper unit has been designed and fitted out according to the customer’s requirements.

Exterior: Our Twiga renowned aluminium frame, 60 mm panels for the highest level of insulation, 4-point suspended subframe. A custom made hydraulic lift for a spare wheel, storage box and motorcycle. To enable outdoor cooking, an extendable kitchen worktop has been mounted in one of the storage boxes. . A custom-made tyre rack for up to two spare wheels, combined with a sand ladder rack with sand ladders. For outdoor cooking, one of the storage boxes is equipped with a pull-out kitchen worktop. A Twiga access step with handrail is also installed, ensuring safe and comfortable entry and exit of the camper unit. Twiga makes to measure and according to your wishes

 

Interior: A very comfortable seating area at the rear of the camper unit offers a high level of comfort and can easily be converted into a bed. Above the seating area, a lift-up bed is also installed. The benches include multiple integrated storage compartments, one of which houses a 25-litre boiler. Next to the seating area is the kitchen unit, equipped with two removable fridge/freezer boxes, each with a capacity of 46 litres. The generously sized bathroom is located at the front of the camper unit and features a shower and a macerator toilet.

 

At the front of the camper unit, a spacious cabinet wall has been installed, incorporating the technical compartment. This area is equipped with a powerful lithium system with a capacity of 920Ah, enabling the camper unit to operate fully off-grid. At eye level, an oven is neatly integrated into the cabinetry for practical and ergonomic use. Adjustable LED lighting is installed throughout the interior, providing both functional illumination and a pleasant atmosphere, completing the interior in a stylish and well-balanced way.

 

 

Building method

Even this large camper unit is built using an aluminium frame construction, helping to keep the overall weight low. A steel subframe ensures that no torsion is transferred to the living unit.
