Overland truck campers we’ve built
For one of our ambassadors, we realised a unique project based on a MAN TGM 18.320. This Overland camper features a custom-built 5.4-metre living unit, designed entirely around the traveller’s personal needs. The interior offers a generous U-shaped lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom complete with washing machine, and a private bedroom for extra comfort on long journeys. Good preparation is key to a successful overland trip. With these practical tips, you’ll hit the road safely and with peace of mind.
Before heading out in your overland camper, it’s important to be well-prepared. Check the laws and regulations for heavy vehicles in each country you plan to visit. Wild camping isn’t allowed everywhere, so do your research. Also, make sure you have the right insurance and reliable emergency communication tools.
Plan your route with food and fuel in mind. In remote areas, gas stations and shops can be few and far between. Be sure to stock up on water, food, spare parts, and medical supplies. At Twiga Travelcars, we’re happy to help you plan smart storage solutions and extra tanks.
